I'm heading back to Kigali in May 2026. Your support — through prayer, generosity, and encouragement — is what makes this mission possible.
"I hope this finds you well and aware of God's nearness in your life. I'm writing to invite you to prayerfully consider partnering with me as I prepare for an upcoming mission trip to Rwanda."
As often as I can, I make my way back to Kigali — to Rwanda Children Christian School and to the educators, children, and community leaders who have shaped me as much as I hope to serve them. This May, I'll be traveling for a full month — first with the Student Ministry of The Hills Church, then continuing at Rwanda Children's through June 23rd.
I'm stepping into this opportunity with humility and expectation. I believe God will use this experience to deepen my faith, stretch my dependence on Him, and shape me more fully into a follower of Jesus. Jesus calls us to go and make disciples of all nations, and I'm grateful for the chance to respond to that call in this way.
Phase 1 — May 24 – June 2
Our team will serve alongside Africa Transformation Network (ATN), a ministry committed to holistic disciple-making and community transformation across Rwanda. During our time there, we will support local leaders through:
This phase also includes collaboration with Extra Mile Academy, an education ministry of ATN, where I will begin trauma-informed care work with teachers, ministry leaders, and caregivers.
Phase 2 — June 3 – June 23
For the remaining weeks, I'll continue this work more extensively on the Rwanda Children's campus in Bugesera, providing trauma-informed training for those who serve vulnerable children, families, and communities:
"Thank you for taking the time to consider this invitation. Thank you for your generosity, and especially for your prayers — for our team, for our partners in Rwanda, and for the work God will do in and through us during this trip."
With gratitude and blessing,
Dr. Laurie Bailey
